Sample of QuickBooks Classes for Janitorial Service
100 - Commercial Janitorial
200 - Carpet Cleaning
300 - Hard Floor Cleaning
400 - Window Cleaning

Why use classes? One reason would be to compare profitability by division. Reports by classes will only be helpful if they are used consistently. Any transaction that deals with income or Cost of Goods Sold (labor, supplies) should be assigned a class.
